I was fortunate to grow up in a very creative environment at Saint Paul’s Four Seasons Elementary School, where every student took visual arts, theater, dance and music classes and participated in the annual school-produced musical. When my family moved states a handful of times, I struggled to get back into theater and music. I was an imaginative kid who loved acting and singing, but specifically storytelling.

When I reached high school, I started to notice how much I loved doing fiction writing projects in English class, but writing novels or short stories still didn’t feel like quite the right medium. I began to discover my love of filmmaking when I took a film production class my junior year and realized I could combine the two interests and try my hand at screenwriting. Soon after, I was accepting into NYU Tisch’s High School Summer Program in the Dramatic Writing program. I completed my first two scripts - a short screenplay and 10-page play that was performed - and decided to apply for the program again as an incoming undergrad.

Since 2019, I’ve been able to write on a developing sci-fi fantasy series as well as draft arts education curriculum for the California Film Institute and rhizoma, a global education foundation and network. In 2023, I graduated with a B.F.A. in Dramatic Writing with two pilots, a full screenplay, and several short scripts I’d written over completing my degree.
